Ms Au is an Art therapist registered with the UK Health and CareProfessions Council (HCPC) and a registered professional member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP).
She holds two master’s degrees, Psychology and Art therapy from the University of Derby, and has extensive clinical experience across counseling and healthcare settings in Hong Kong. Her therapeutic style
is recognised for sincerity, attunement, and inclusivity, with a personalized approach that supports clients in rebuilding self-worth and reorienting their life direction.

Grounded in depth psychology, she integrates evidence-based psychological approaches with the creative processes of art therapy.Working with symbols, dreams, and imagery, she helps clients identify the roots of distress, shift repetitive patterns, and cultivate inner resources to address work and family stress, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, grief counseling, childhood trauma, psychosomatic disorders, as well as mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder,
bipolar disorder and various phobias etc.

She has served in social service organizations and schools in both the UK and Hong Kong and was among the first school-based art psychotherapist in Hong Kong, advancing school mental health provision, and gained deep insight into the psychological needs of adolescents and their families during developmental stages. These include challenges such as excessive screen time, school refusal and adaptation difficulties, as well as parent-child and peer relationship issues. Additionally, she has substantial clinical experience working with special educational need, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)—and provides individualized interventions to enhance emotion regulation, executive functioning, and social communication, alongside parent/caregiver support to promote whole-family wellbeing.

She currently a part time lectures at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Education University of Hong Kong, teaching developmental psychology and psychotherapy-related subjects. She remains actively engaged in research and professional training to keep her practice current.

她曾於英國及香港的社福機構與學校任職，為香港首位駐校的藝術心理治療師，推動校本心理健康服務，對青少年及其家庭在成長階段的心理需要有深刻的理解，包括網絡使用失調、輟學與適應困難、親子與朋輩關係等。此外，她在處理特殊教育需要臨床案例方面經驗豐富，尤其自閉症譜系障礙（ASD）及注意力不足／過度活躍症（ADHD）；並以個人化介入提升情緒調節、執行功能與社交溝通，同時支援家長／照顧者，促進家庭整體福祉。現時她兼任香港中文大學與香港教育大學講師，教授發展心理學與心理治療相關課題，並持續參
與研究與專業培訓，確保理念與實務與時並進。
